I was nearly blown away this morning — not by the beautiful countryside or Jenna’s front window — but by these large gusts of wind that came tearing over the hills.
It all began yesterday, Jenna and I were walking to the car and suddenly, wam! we were hit by a blast of wind. I look sideways at Jenna and she looked like a pirate navigating the rough seas. Her face was wound up and she had one eye shut; she’s such a tiny thing I really did think she was going to blow away. We had to nearly shout to hear each other, it was quite fun actually.
Well, this morning the wind still has not let up and it just feels like a strange day. The sun is shining but the rain falls down in pockets of air. Enough about the weather already.
Somehow, I need to relate this post to the awesome magnifying glass necklace we got in last week. Ok. So let’s say that Jenna is, in fact, a one-eyed pirate. Well she still needs glasses to see! But her face can’t hold the glasses on because it is so windy and they just blow right off. Goggles don’t work either because Ladybird does not approve and Jenna gets picky when it comes to straps. Pirates were not allowed on the Titanic, I’ll have sweet potato fries for dinner, and Iago wants Jenna to read him “Rosemary’s Baby.” So Jenna uses the necklace to read with her one eye. Phew!
Now, don’t go requesting a picture of that! I only have balloon skills when it comes to Photoshop. So how about we settle for a lovely picture of the necklace instead.
A Happy Monday to you!
